Terms and conditions
Agreement
Linger is a small women-owned business. We plan our retreats with intention + care, centering unhurried exploration, immersion in nature, self-reflection, gentle movement, nourishing food, everyday pleasures, and building warm relationships. Our hope is that your time with Linger is a delicious pause in your otherwise busy life — one that you carry with you when you are home. We cannot wait to welcome you and to make your retreat an unforgettable and fulfilling time.
This agreement is between Linger With (Pty) Ltd. (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") and you, the person booking and participating in the retreat (referred to as "you," "your," “guest,’ or “guests”). By completing your Linger retreat booking, whether by signing electronically or submitting payment, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please reach out to us with any questions at linger.with@gmail.com.
Booking and payment
To confirm your place on a retreat, a deposit is required at the time of booking. Your booking is final once full payment has been received. While the typical retreat payment schedule is as follows, we are happy to answer any questions and discuss individual payment timelines as long as full payment is received 60 days before the retreat start date:
1st Payment — €700 deposit due at time of booking
2nd Payment — first 50% due 120 days before the retreat start date
3rd Payment — final 50% due 60 days before the retreat start date
Personal travel insurance
Your peace of mind and safety are important to us. All guests are encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellations (including those related to COVID-19), identification and visa requirements (including denied entry due to incorrect or missing travel documents), and other unforeseen circumstances. Linger is not liable for any costs, losses, penalties or other fees incurred in the booking or cancellation of retreats.
Visa and passport requirements
Please check your travel documents are valid as. We'd hate for paperwork to stand between you and an amazing retreat!
Guests are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports with any necessary visas or travel permits for all countries included in the trip itinerary.
Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the start date of the trip.
Guests are advised to check visa and entry requirements well in advance of the trip.
Guest conduct
Linger is inclusive and has a zero tolerance policy for any conduct that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory. To ensure all guests feel safe and enjoy the time together, Linger reserves the right to remove any guest from the retreat without refund if behavior is deemed harmful, disruptive, or poses a risk to themselves or others.
We hope this time will be restorative and you’ll be so immersed that you won’t reach for your phone. We only have two instances where phone use is limited or barred.
Calls are not allowed in shared spaces; please find a quiet area in the garden or your room where you are sure not to disturb anyone.
Phones are not allowed during any movement or mindfulness classes or massage sessions
Health and safety
Your wellbeing is the priority. We ask that guests ensure they are physically and mentally capable of participating in the retreat activities. Before booking, please don’t hesitate to let us know if you may need specific accommodations.
Linger reserves the right to refuse participation or remove guests from activities if their health or behavior poses a risk to themselves or others. We ask you take care of your health while enjoying the retreat. Linger is not liable for any personal injury, illness, property damage, loss, or inconvenience incurred during the trip.
Photography and media release
We want you to enjoy the entire experience as it happens – including shared meals, workshops, excursions – without worrying about capturing every moment. During your Linger retreat we will be taking photographs and videos.
As our gift, we’ll share a personalized digital folder full of the best high-resolution photographs after the end of every retreat. Linger may use these and other retreat photographs, video, and audio for promotional purposes related to Linger, including but not limited to: websites, social media, and advertisements. If you would prefer we do not share media of you, please let us know.
Lastly, this retreat is for personal investment and not for promotion of products, brands, or services. Any content creation with a commercial or personal brand purpose is not allowed.
Changes, cancellations, and refunds
While none of us like to think about cancellations, we are a small business working diligently and lovingly to create thoughtful and exceptional experiences for you. These policies protect the non-recoverable payments and bookings to venues and other vendors that make these retreats possible. This is also why we encourage personal travel insurance — so you have peace of mind, too. For guest cancellations made:
More than 90 days before the retreat will receive a Linger credit for any payments made (less the non-refundable deposit). This can be applied to another Linger retreat within the following 12-months.
Between 90-60 days before the retreat will receive a 50% Linger credit for any payments made (less the non-refundable deposit). This can be applied to another Linger retreat within the following 12-months.
Less than 60 days before the trip unfortunately cannot receive Linger credit or refund.
While we plan Linger retreats meticulously, sometimes there is a rainy day or other events unfold that are beyond our control. Linger reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, including but not limited to accommodation, activities and workshops, teachers, or hosts. We will always let you know as soon as possible, and we promise any changes will be special. If Linger cancels an entire retreat for any reason, we will issue you a Linger credit for any received payments valid for 12-months. We cannot reimburse for travel or other expenses booked independently and highly encourage personal travel insurance.
Force majeure and general indemnity
Linger shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this agreement where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond its reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, war, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, strikes or labor disputes, or epidemics.
In the event of a force majeure occurrence, Linger will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements or to reschedule the trip. However, we cannot guarantee refunds or compensation in such circumstances. You agree to hold Linger and its team members harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your participation in the retreat. If Linger's own negligence contributes to a problem, your responsibility will be adjusted proportionally.
