A creative retreat + artist residency on the sun-drenched coast of Salento, at the very tip of Italy's heel where the water turns every shade of turquoise, flowering rosemary fills the air, and life moves at a languid pace. Days spent swimming in hidden coastal coves, gathering around long table dinners, moving gently in the morning light or heat of the sauna, exploring the Italian seaside, listening to goldfinches, and falling asleep to the sound of the sea.

Our home on the Salentine coast
The heart of our retreats lies in time spent together, and Villa Acquamarina is our home for just that. Set within restored historic buildings and among ancient olive trees along the coast, every comfort has been thought of: beautiful private bathrooms, soft linens, ocean views that stretch as far as you can see, a sauna + hot tub under the stars, sweeping pines, and that rarest feeling of being on the edge of the world.
We have three private rooms with ensuites that could be your own sanctuary, or shared with a close friend, sister, mother, or partner. The two shared rooms with private ensuites are equally lovely and tend to go first.
Beyond the rooms there is a wild garden of prickly pears and olives, an outdoor gym for those who want to move, a pétanque pitch, several sundecks, and two delicious plunge pools for warm afternoons. The outdoor spaces spill toward the water and rosemary fills the heat of the day.
Salento and Villa Acquamarina are places we keep returning to, and ones we’re proud to call our Puglia home.

what it means to linger
We grew up in families where women held us together and made curious, creative worlds for us to feel understood within. We recognize the shape of kin keeping and our collective need for art. In it's sweetest balance, we can all find meaning in intention and taking care of others, our earth, and ourselves.
Linger, and our friendship, grew from this tenderness. If we were already doing this for the people we loved, what would it look like to invite women to linger together in a beautiful place, eat well, and let us carry those tightly held worlds, even for a few days.
